Dr. Moreland and her team stay up-to-date on the latest and most useful technological advances in dental care and incorporate these as needed into your oral health care plan. By keeping current with the latest developments in dentistry, we’re able to provide dental services to keep you feeling great and looking natural.

Digital X-Rays

Digital x-rays are a tremendous technological advancement over film-based x-rays. Digital images show more detail and can be enhanced for improved “readability” through our computer software, are easily archived in our system for future reference and comparison, and are safer for the patient due to significantly lower x-ray exposure when acquiring an image. Our portable NOMAD x-ray unit is among the most advanced cameras available, with the lowest exposure requirements around, and does the job quickly, all of which adds up to a better experience with greater comfort.

Digital Photography

High-resolution digital photographs are an important tool in the evaluation process of every new patient. Dr. Moreland takes a series of photos and uses them to diagnose any dental problems and to visually explain what is happening in your mouth. Digital images are useful for cosmetic imaging and establishing a baseline of current conditions. Saved electronically, they are immediately accessible whenever needed.

Soft Tissue Laser Services

Dr. Moreland s certified in the use of the soft tissue diode laser. The diode laser is an excellent instrument for the treatment of a variety of soft tissue conditions, and can effectively minimize and relieve symptoms from apthous ulcers (canker sores) and cold sores.

The NV Microlaser is the first wireless laser certified for dental use. It is a precision tool designed for gingival contouring and periodontal treatment. A winning combination of portability, power and proficiency makes it a valuable surgical instrument. The soft tissue laser provides immediate hemostasis (bleeding control) when used. It performs with little or no discomfort and allows for rapid healing.

Intraoral Camera

An intraoral camera provides close-up pictures of your teeth before, during and after treatment, and is especially useful during periodic check-ups. Our dental hygienist digitally photographs areas of concern and displays them on the video monitor for you and Dr. Moreland to review during your evaluation. Intraoral photos are also useful tools for patient education. Visualizing images together helps us communicate how your appearance will improve with professional dental care, giving you all the more reason to smile.
