“If you want to be successful, it’s just this simple. Know what you are doing.
Love what you are doing. And believe in what you are doing.”
― Will Rogers
A bit of history
Barrett Hall, DDS, and Lindsay Hall, DDS, founded Oklahoma Family Dentistry in 2010 by combining the small practices of two retired doctors in Tecumseh, Okla.
“We identified a huge need in this part of Oklahoma. Many Oklahomans living outside of our state’s large metro areas don’t have access to top-notch dental care and that’s one of the reasons we settled right here in central Oklahoma – we felt called to serve the needs of rural communities.” – Barrett Hall, DDS
Once the Halls opened Oklahoma Family Dentistry, they quickly realized meeting the dental care needs of their community would require an additional doctor for the practice, and Dan Morris, DDS, a colleague and friend of the Halls, became part of the OFD team on a part-time basis during his residency, and upon completion of his residency, joined the practice full-time.
The Halls opened their Tecumseh office in 2010. The practice in Prague opened in 2013. In 2014, the Halls and Morris will open an office in Seminole.
Meet the Halls
Barrett Hall, DDS, grew up in Tulsa, Okla., and knew he wanted to be a dentist when he was still attending Jenks High School. Hailing from a long family line full of dental-care professionals, becoming a dentist was a natural fit for Barrett or as he puts it “dentistry is in my blood.”
He attended Baylor University as an undergraduate before attending the University of Oklahoma College Of Dentistry (OUCOD). He was on both the President’s and Dean’s Honor Rolls at Baylor and at the OUCOD and additionally, was elected to the National Honor Society. Barrett undertook a residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry with emphasis on surgical, cosmetic and complex restorative dentistry. Conversant in all aspects of dentistry, Barrett is a clinical instructor for dental implant surgeries at the OUCOD. Both Drs. Hall and Morris have taken part in the surgical planning, procedure, restoration and management of thousands of dental implants. This is an area of dentistry that Oklahoma Family Dentistry is very passionate about, and Drs. Hall and Morris are committed to staying on the cutting edge of dental implant therapy.
Lindsay Hall, DDS, grew up learning about teeth from her father, Dr. Gary Breece, an orthodontist in Enid, Okla. Upon beginning her undergraduate studies at Oklahoma State University, Lindsay realized she was inspired by her father to become a dental-care provider and ultimately become a dentist. While at OSU and later at the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry, Lindsay was recognized for excellence in academics on both the President’s and Dean’s Honor Rolls and elected to the National Honor Society.
Lindsay and Barrett met each other in dental school. According to Barrett, it was love at first sight – on his part, but he admits it took a bit longer to convince Lindsay theirs was a match made in dental heaven! Both Barrett and Lindsay believe it is important to give back and have provided much-needed dentistry for people in the local communities served by Oklahoma Family Dentistry, in addition to having traveled on many mission trips providing dentistry to people in Peru, Jamaica, and Brazil. Today, Lindsay and Barrett’s commitment and dedication to each other, their family, and community, is what inspires them both personally and professionally. As Barrett is fond of saying, “dentistry is my ministry.”
Meet Dan Morris, DDS
Some friendships are simply meant to be. That’s the case for Barrett Hall and his high-school friend and now business associate, Dan Morris, DDS.
Born and raised in the Tulsa area, Dan attended Jenks High School with Barrett. Following a part-time job in dentistry after school, Dan set his sights on the profession as he considered going to college. An Oklahoma State undergraduate (2006) and University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry graduate (2010), Dan worked as an electrician’s apprentice throughout his entire college experience. He learned that he enjoys working with his hands and especially likes the mechanical aspects of dentistry. In fact, Dan was recognized upon graduation by the Academy of General Dentistry as the top graduate who exhibited the greatest interest, knowledge and proficiency in the field of general dentistry.
As a professional, he’s undertaken a residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) where he learned implants and advanced restorative and surgical treatment, completing his residency in 2011. Dan focuses on the delivery of quality care from simple to complex procedures in a way that is comfortable for patients.
In 2008, Dan married Annie, and elementary school art teacher and together they have three children, Ezra, Jude and Finley. When he’s not practicing dentistry, Dan enjoys running, spending time outdoors with his children, and backpacking. He and Annie are involved in their church and have taken numerous mission trips to Peru, Brazil and Texas, including serving on an emergency response team following the earthquake in Haiti.
